Services for Don Decker, 88, are 10 a.m. Saturday, October 1 [2011] at Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, with burial following at Leon Cemetery. Visitation is open at the funeral home today from noon until 9 p.m., with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established by the family.

Don was a farmer and retired from the Leon Post Office. He was very active in Masons and Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, Leon Rodeo, and the Leon Volunteer Fire Department. A World War II Army veteran, Don was a long-time American Legion member in Leon. Don was a great cook and enjoyed his family.

Preceding him in death were grandson Chad Decker, wife Louise (Eastin) Decker, two sisters, and two brothers. Survivors include children Donna Flummer, Richard Decker (Sherry), and Charles Decker (Linda), all of Leon; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
