Leon, Decatur County, IowaSharon Sue Abrisz Rogerson, 68 of Pinehurst, Texas passed away at home on November 14, 2008 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born in High Point, Iowa on September 11, 1940 to Edwin C. "Bud" and Neva Petty Seitz and was a 1958 graduate of Garden Grove, Iowa High School and University of Arkansas in 1987. She resided in Garden Grove; Des Moines, Iowa; Rogers, Arkansas; and Pinehurst Texas. She was active in Rogers Little Theatre as both a Board Member/Officer and production director and performer; Girl Scout Leader, Youth Softball Coach and a member of the Red Hat Texas Jewels of Tomball, Texas. She was honored with the Pride of Rogers Award from the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce. She was a retired Purchasing Manager with Newlyweds Foods, Springdale Arkansas. During her retirement she continued her lifelong hobbies as an avid reader, seamstress, knitter, gardener and love of attending plays and concerts.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Rogerson, whom she married on March 30, 2000; her father; children Edwin McClure and wife Kathy of Rogers, Arkansas, Garry McClure and wife Betty of Clear Lake, California, Neva "Kriket" Mohesky and husband Michael of Sulphur Springs, Texas; grandchildren Zachary Denison of New York, New York, Elizabeth, Allison, and Jacob McClure of Clear Lake, California, Alyssa Eckert of Conway, Arkansas and Kendall Eckert and Grant Mohesky of Sulphur Springs, Texas; step-granddaughter Anna Mohesky of Springdale, Arkansas; great-grandchildren Angila and Makayla Sandage of Clear Lake, California; siblings Lou Roe and husband Gerald of Humeston, Iowa, Suzanne Woodyard and husband Steve of Altoona, Iowa, and Robert Seitz and wife Marlene of Shelby, Iowa; numerous nieces, nephews and three step-children : Mark, Scott and Amy Rogerson.
She was predeceased by her husband Paul Abrisz, (March 3, 1998) and her mother Neva Seitz (May 24, 2001).
In her continuance with her gift for giving, Sharon has requested that her body has been donated to Bayler College of Medicine.
The love and support shown to her by her wonderful friends, co-workers and family will be forever cherished.
