___________Fatally Stricken Friday Morning at Home; Services Held Monday
___________Mrs. Will Williams, resident of Aurora [Nebraska] for the past 34 years, passed away last Friday morning at her home.
Mrs. Williams who had spent some time in the hospital abouta month ago, apparently was enjoying improved health until she was striken last Friday monday, with death following in a matter of minutes.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in the Chapman-Higby chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth Locke, pastor of the Aurora Federated church, oficiating.
Phil Shalander sang two hymns, "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "The Old Rugged Cross," accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Fay Chapman. Pallbearers were Les Ryan, George Wilson, Elza Zornes, Jack Graham, Gust Anderson and Robert Willis. Interment was in the Aurora cemetery.
Addie Viola Clawson Williams was born on a farm near Grand River, Ia., June 20, 1882, the daughter of Alfred and Eugenia Clawson. She was married at the age of 15 to Will Williams on Jan. 26, 1898, at Grand River, Ia. where they resided until 1909, when they moved to Sargent, Neb. After residing there a short time they moved to South Dakota. They came to Aurora 34 years ago.
Mrs. Williams was an active member of the Women's Relief Corp while her health permitted.
Eight children, five sons and three daughters, were born to them. With the exception of one son, Othiqa, who passed away Sept. 2, 1944, all the children survive.
Mr. and Mrs. Williams celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Jan. 26, 1948.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are four sons, Vern and Arbie of Aurora, Lt. Roy Williams of Newport, R.I., and Don of Big Bend, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Anderson of Aurora, Mrs. William Eaton of Omaha and Lola Mae at home; 15 grand-children; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Frank Bramer of Grand River, Ia.; and three brothers, Herbert Clawson of San Francisco, Calif.; Avery Clawson of Portland, ore., and Sidney Clawson of Grand Island [NE].
