Obituary ~ Wilma Mae (Glendenning) Fry
May 30, 1926 ~ April 09, 2002

Wilma Mae Fry, the daughter of Clarence John and Birdie June Herbeth Glendenning was born May 30, 1926, at Montezuma and died April 9, 2002, at the Decatur County Hospital in Leon. She was 75 and a resident of Van Wert.

She grew up in the Montezuma area. She married David Drew Fry in Bethany, Mo. on June 5, 1943. They became the parents of three sons, Garry, Larry and Ronnie.

She spent her life as a wife, mother and homemaker. Mrs. Fry enjoyed gardening, yardwork and baking. She was a member of the Van Wert Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on July 21, 1995; a daughter-in-law, Linda Fry, on Jan. 14, 1993 and a sister, Erma Parmer.

Mrs. Fry's survivors include her three sons, Garry Fry and Ron Fry and his wife, Beverly "Bunny" Fry, all of Van Wert; and Larry Fry and his wife, Jennie Fry, of Murray; five grandchildren, Randy Fry of Decatur, T.J. Fry of Truro; Sami Fry of St Charles; Aaron Fry of Van Wert and Carrie Gilbert of Van Wert; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Beverly Glendenning of Galesburg, Ill.; a brother, Sam Glendenning of New Sharon; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fry were April 13 at the Van Wert Assembly of God Church in Van Wert, Pastor Ramon Booth officiating. Musician was Becky Danley and music selections were "Precious Memories" and "In the Garden."

Casket bearers were Aaron Fry, T. J. Fry, Steve Gilbert, Gerald Parmer, Chet Reed and Bobby Tompkins. Interment was in the Van Wert Cemetery.

Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home of Leon was in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Fry's name to the Van Wert Assembly of God Church.
