Obituary ~ Levern (Hohn) Epperly
September 08, 1906 ~ March 22, 1978

LEVERN HOHN EPPERLY, youngest daughter of CHARLES E. JANE HOHN, was born Sept. 8, 1906 in Page County, Iowa, and died March 22, 1978 at Decatur County Hospital, Leon, Iowa, age 71 years, 6 months and 14 days.

She lived in Harrison County, Missouri, moving at age 10, to Leon, Iowa, where she spent most of her life.

She united with the Church of Christ. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Leon Christian Church.

She was united in marriage to EDGAR H. EPPERLY, Sept. 13, 1926. To this union one son, EDGAR VERN, was born.

LEVERN served as Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge, Worthy Matron of the Order of Estern Star, Worthy High Priestess of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, president of Leon Past Matrons Club, O. E. S., and president of the Leon Business and Professional Women’s Club.

Preceding her in death were parents; two sisters; OPAL ADAIR and LOLA HOHN; and granddaughter, ELIZABETH LEVERN EPPERLY.

Survivors are husband EDGAR H.; son and wife, EDGAR V. and JOYCE EPPERLY, and granddaughter REBECA LYNN EPPERLY; also nephew, DARRELL ADAIR and wife WILMA, and daughters, DONNA and DARLA, she loved as her own; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

[Interment was made at Leon Cemetery, Leon, Iowa.]
