Obituary ~ Melissa Jane (Worden) Clark
September 29, 1879 ~ August 29, 1966

Melissa Jane Worden, daughter of Charles and Eliza Piburn Worden, was born in Lincoln County, Kansas, September 29, 1879 and died August 29, 1966 at the Frost Nursing Home at the age of 86 years and 11 months.

She moved with her parents to Iowa when a child, and spent the rest of her life in Decatur County. She was a member of the Christain Union Church. She was united in marriage to Leslie E. Clark September 15, 1912. To this union were born two children, Gladys Griffin, Pleasanton and Harvey of Webster City.

Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, four brothers, and one sister.

She is survived by her daughter Gladys and son Harvey; brother Harvey Worden; sister Lottie Goff, Aberdeen, Washington; and 5 grandchildren.
