Obituary ~ Leslie Eugene Clark
October 29, 1882 ~ October 27, 1962

Leslie Eugene Clark, son of William and Edella Clark, was born on October 29, 1882 and departed this life October 27, 1962 at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 28 days. He was united in marriage to Melissa Jane Worden on September 15, 1912, to this union were born, Harvey of Webster City and Gladys Griffin of Pleasanton.

He was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church and had been a member of the Mason Lodge for over 50 years. He farmed in Decatur County most of his life until he moved to Pleasanton 13 years ago.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; three sisters, Charlotte Bibbey, Nora Ryan and Rose High; two half sisters, Elizabeth Williams and Mary Williams, and one half brother James Clark.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Melissa; his son Harvey of Webster City; his daughter Gladys Griffin of Pleasanton; five grandchildren: Beverly, Debra and Judy Clark of Webster City; Vivian Griffin [Baker] of Blue Island, Illinois, and James Griffin of Pleasanton; one daughter-in-law and one son-in-law, one brother John Clark of Wheatland, Wyoming; and a host of other relatives and Friends. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. October 30 at the Stewart Funeral Home, conducted by Norris Ramsey. Interment was made in the Hamilton Cemetery.
