December 15, 1891 ~ March 17, 1978LENA BELL COONTZ, daughter of STEVEN A. and FANNIE (BOYCE) TRISLER, was born Dec. 15, 1891 at Weldon, Iowa, and died March 17, 1978 at Westview Acres in Leon, age 86 years, 3 months and 2 days.
She was united in marriage to DURBIN BLISS COONTZ, Dec. 14, 1910. They spent most of their life farming in Decatur County.
She was a member of the Garden Grove Methodist Church; Gold Star Mother of the Garden Grove Auxiliary.
Preceding her in death were parents; husband; twin sister LELIA BROWN; infant daughter CYNTHIA; sons, BOYD, WILLARD and KENNETH.
Survivors include son CLAYTON and wife HELEN, Burlington, Iowa; two daughters, ARLINE MORRIS, Garden Grove, and ELNA HOOK, Sioux City; 18 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
[Interment was made at Garden Grove Cemetery, Garden Grove, Iowa.]
