Obituary ~ Dr. Kenneth R. Brown

Dr. KENNETH R. BROWN, age 75 of Shell Knob, Mo. died at 4:15 p. m. Tuesday, March 8, 1983 at Springfield, Mo. after a long illness.

Dr. BROWN had lived in Shell Knob since 1976, moving there from Leon, Iowa. He was a 1929 graduate of Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa and a 1933 graduate of Northwestern University Medical School, Chicago, Illinois.

He was a life member of the American Medical Association and charter fellow of the Association Academy of Family Practitioners. He was on the Courtesy Staff at Cox Medical Center, Springfield. He practiced in Leon for over 40 years and served in many civic and service organizations. He was also active in church work in the communities where he lived.

Survivors include his widow, FRANCES; son, TOM, San Francisco, Ca.; two daughters: MARY CATHERINE HAACK of Frankfurt, Germany and MARTHA JEANNE JENKINS, Omaha, Ne.; 2 sisters: Mrs. BERNICE BROWN, Santa Monica, Ca. and Miss VICTORIA BROWN, Ames, Iowa; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

Service was held March 11 at Williamson Chapel on the Hill in Missouri with Rev. CARL BEIRMAN officiating.
