Obituary ~ Kenneth Duane "Mike" Bigley
September 23, 1922 ~ February 26, 1985

KENNETH DUANE “MIKE” BIGLEY, son of EARL and JESSIE GOLDIE BROOKE BIGLEY, was born Sept. 23, 1922 at Leon, Iowa and died Feb. 26, 1985 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa, age 62.

MIKE grew up and attended Leon School. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII.

MIKE was married to ROBERTA MAE CROSS Aug. 29, 1950 at Leon, Iowa. Except for a year spent in California, they made their home in Leon. He worked at the Decatur County Yards until he retired in September, 1984.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Leon, Odd Fellows and Rebekahs, Lions Club and American Legion and V. F. W., all in Leon.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother EARL VERE; and sister, MILDRED FAYE.

Survivors include his widow, ROBERTA, of Leon; son STEVEN ALLEN; 2 sisters: HELLEN HICKS and husband, CHESTER, Yorba Linda, Ca. and DONNA AMES and husband, JACK, Weldon, Iowa; brother GORDON BIGLEY, Des Moines; mother-in-law; BESSIE CROSS, Leon; 3 sisters-in-law LOUIS BIGLEY, Leon; JEAN WILLEY, St. Charles, Mo; and EVA LUNSFORD, Mesa, Az.; nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

[Interment was made in Leon Cemetery, Leon, Iowa.]
