Obituary ~ Harry Albert Allen

HARRY ALBERT ALLEN died at the home of his parents in this city early last Monday morning, of pneumonia, aged 5 years, 5 months and 6 days. He was baptized June 25, 1891, and was a member of the Presbyterian Sunday school. The funeral exercises were held at the house Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. G. D. GURLEY, after which the remains were laid at rest in Leon cemetery. Little HARRY was a bright, obedient child and the idol of the family. This is the second child whose death the bereaved parents have been called upon to mourn within a short time which makes their affliction doubly distressing. The family have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community.

NOTE: Harry was born in 1888, the son of Albert J. and Anna E. (Edwards) Allen, and died in 1893. ~ SRB
