Body was Burned Beyond Recognition Near Cascade in Oregon.
COYE ADAIR, 31, World War II veteran, formerly of Leon, was killed Saturday near Cascade Ore., in an airplane crash. ADAIR was riding with the pilot when the plane crashed into a mountain-side and burned.
Identity was made from a hat and billfold. FRED ADAIR, brother, of Leon, has not been advised of all the details.
Burial was made at Lebanon Tuesday.
Besides wife, VETA, he leaved two sons, MARVIN, 8, and JAMES ALAN, one and one-half months old. He is also survived by his mother, Mrs. ELLA ADAIR, Jefferson; four other brothers besides FRED and two sisters. They include: Mrs. JEAN THOMPSON, San Diego; Mrs. BONDELITA PRICE, Jefferson; LEROY, Indianapolis; MILO, Des Moines; BOB ADAIR, Jefferson, and WILBUR, Des Moines.
The ADAIR family moved from Leon this spring to Oregon.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars at Sweet Home had charge of the funeral services. Both ADAIR and the pilot were burned. ADAIR was thrown from the plane.
