OBITUARY - MRS. LETHENE W. LONGFELLOW
Springfield Daily News; Springfield, MO; 1933
Mrs. Lethene W. Longfellow, 76, resident of Springfield for 52 years, died
at 11:45 o'clock yesterday morning in her home, 825 West Florida Street,
following a brief illness.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph T. Longfellow; five nephews, Clyde
King of Springfield, Raleigh King of St. Louis, Harry Bruner of Des Moines,
Iowa, and Roy and Charles Bruner of Iowa; five nieces, Mrs. Nell Callison of
Des Moines, Iowa, Mrs. Garnet Koger, Mrs. Winnie Higgins and Mrs. Pella
chick, all of Neodesha, Kan., and Mrs. Nannie Wagner of Chanute, Kan.; three
great nephews, Weldon King of Springfield and Kenneth and Rollin King of St.
Louis; and one great niece, Marjorie King of St. Louis.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the Klinger
chapel, the Reverend George H. Bassett officiating.

OBITUARY - MRS. LETHENE LONGFELLOW Springfield Daily News; Springfield, MO;

Funeral services for Mrs. Lethene W. Longfellow, 76, who had lived in
Springfield 52 years, will be at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the
Klinger chapel, the Reverend G.H. Bassett officiating. Burial will be in
Hazelwood Cemetery. Mrs. Longfellow died at 11:45 o'clock Sunday morning in
her home at 825 West Florida Street.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Purcell Longfellow, who traveled for
a stove company before his retirement. They had been married 27 years.
Previously she was married to Thomas Burke. For 30 years she had been a
member of the Royal Neighbors, affiliating with the Sunflower camp here at
its organization. She was a member of Central Christian Church.
