Leon, Decatur County, IowaCharles Benjamin Bullard was born June 13, 1888 at Beaconsfield, Iowa, and died September 27 [1932] at Lake View, Iowa.
Charles was the son of John Calvin Bullard and Sarah Ellen Butts. When small his family moved to Kellerton where he received his education. Later he moved to a farm near Leon. He spent his entire life in and around Leon with the exception of the last two years, which he spent working with the road construction company in and around Lake View.
In 1914 he was married to Pearle R. Phillips who preceded him in death March 28, 1927.
Charley leaves to mourn his passing, his mother, Sarah E. Bullard, six brothers, Jim R. of Colorado; John of Leon; Enos and Harry of Des Moines; Frank of Shenandoah; Harley of Leon; and four sisters, Minnie Hacker of Leon; Lizzie Akes of Decatur; Nora Fletcher and Pearle Ellis of Van Wert and numberous other relatives and friends.
The funeral services were held at the Stewart Funeral home Friday Sep. 30. Burial service was at the Leon cemetery.
