Death of Mrs. James Booker.

The body of Mrs. James Booker, a sister of Mrs. H. J. Close, was brought to Leon Sunday for interment in the Leon Cemetery by the side of her parents. Mrs. Booker, whose maiden name as Frances DeWolf, was born at Ravanna, Ohio, June 8, 1840. With her parents, Dr. and Mrs. J. G. [Caroline (Holcomb)] DeWolf, she came to Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, in 1856, and here she was married to Mr. James Booker. They made their home at Mt. Pleasant until about two years ago when they moved to Webb City, Mo., to make their home with her only sister, Mrs. Helen J. Close. She was a most estimable lady, who had many dear friends at her old home at Mt. Pleasant, and in the new one at Webb City. Mrs. Close accompanied the remains to Leon Sunday. Mr. Booker being in such poor health that he could not come.
