IRA BEAVERS, son of JAMES SHELDON and EMMA FRANCIS BEAVERS, was born in Decatur county, Iowa, near Woodland October 28th, 1885, and departed this life Monday, October 25, 1948 at 12:10 a. m. at his home in Lineville, Iowa at the age of 62 years.

On June 1, 1900, he was united in marriage to ESSIE DODD. To this union one son was born, HEROLD.

IRA spent all of his life near Woodland until 1942 when he purchased his home in Lineville where he resided until his death.

He was converted in early life at Woodland and kept his faith in the Savior until the end saying he was not afraid to die. He was a member of the Assembly of God church.

Two grandchildren preceded him in death, IRA DALE and THELMA JENE BEAVERS, also one brother HARVEY, and four sisters, CLARA, NELLIE, EMMA, and JULIA.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his son HEROLD, and wife, three grandchildren, DEAN BEAVERS of Trenton, Mo., REID and MARQUETTA, of Lineville, and also five brothers, ROY of Leon, Iowa; GUY of Burlington, Iowa; EARL of Mercer, Mo., OKA, of Des Moines, Iowa; and FAY of Wilder, Idaho; besides a host of other relatives and friends, IRA numbered his friends by his acquaintances.

Funeral services were at the Assembly of God Church in Lineville at 2 p. m. Thursday, October 28, 1948, conducted by Rev. ROY DONELSON. Burial at Evergreen cemetery.
