Chariton, Lucas County, Iowa
Thursday, April 23, 1936Rachel Anna Trembly, was born near Davis City, Iowa. Sept 17, 1858, and passed away at her home in Lucas County, Iowa. On April 18, 1936, at the age of 77 years 7 months and 1 day.
She was married to Charlie Scott. Nov. 21, 1874 to this union 8 children where born. Her husband and three children preceeded her in death. She leaves to mourn their loss. Three sons and two daughters, Oral and Rex Scott of Lucas as: Bert Scott of Gillette, Wyoming; Mrs. Oscar Swanson of Lucas; and Mrs Harley Niswender of Gillette, Wyoming. Also 20 grandchildren, one brother, several nieces and nephews, and a large number of friends. She has been a patient sufferer through almost, four years of illness, and in her last hours was confident of God's presence with her.
She was a loving mother, a faithful friend, and will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. A. E . Beales, of Russell, where held at the Latter Day Saints church in Lucas on Monday afternoon at one o'clock, and burial was at Pleasanton [Hamilton Cemetery], Iowa.
