Clarence Richard Ellars, son of Clarence and Opal Ellars, was born Dec. 26, 1925, and departed this life Dec. 25, 1931, at the age of 5 years, 11 months, and 30 days, death being caused by a hurt while playing at school.

He leaves to mourn his departure his grief-stricken parents, one brother, Lyman, and one sister, Maudie; four grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Ellars and Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Bright; two great grandmothers, Mrs. Dan Bright of Grand River and Mrs. Schafner (sic, should be Shaffner) of Terre Haute, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held at the Methodist Church in Decatur, conducted by Geo. R. Lamb, pastor of the Pentecostal Church.

Interment was made in the Terre Haute Cemetery.
