F.M. FRY, better known perhaps as MAYBERRY
FRY, died at his home near
DeKalb in Long Creek Township at four o'clock
Saturday morning. Several
weeks ago while working he strained himself
and his heart was affected.
But he had so far recovered as to be around
again, and on Tuesday went
to Weldon on the train. When he returned
home he was very weak and
continued to grow worse until death relieved
him.

MAYBERRY FRY was one of the best known
citizens of Decatur County, a man
of considerable means, who made a success of
all his enterprises. In
his death the community loses a citizen who
cannot be replaced, and one
whom to know was to respect. Few men were
more popular than MR. FRY.
He leaves a widow and several children.

The funeral was held at Van Wert on Sunday
afternoon, being conducted by
the Masonic Lodge, of which he was an honored
member.
The sermon was preached by Rev. J.N. Hozier,
and his remains laid to
rest in the Van Wert Cemetery.
