MAXWELL, Zelma Mildred Utley, 84, of Grand River, Iowa, died on Monday, June 18, 2012 at her home. No services are planned for Zelma at this time.

ZELMA MILDRED UTLEY MAXWELL ... Zelma Mildred Utley Maxwell, age 84 of Grand River, Iowa, the daughter of Frank Bert and Marie Anna [Schminke] Flora, was born April 12, 1928 in Jasper County, Iowa. She died at her home on June 18, 2012.

Zelma and John Maxwell lived in Des Moines before moving to Grand River 45 years ago. They enjoyed fishing and gardening together and sending time with their grandchildren. He died in January of 1986.

Preceding her in death were John Maxwell; two daughters, Gloria Beals and Debbie Stairs; and sisters Glorene Utley, Madelene Oliver, and Darlene Flora. Survivors include her daughter Diana Jackson and husband Ron of Grand River; son-in-law Art Beals of Grand River; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; siblings, Beatrice Hayes of Pratt, Kansas, Curtis Flora of Tipton, Iowa, Bernard Flora of Huxley, Iowa, and Chet Flora; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

No services are planned for Zelma at this time.
