DEATH NOTICE:

(The Leon Journal-Reporter Leon, Iowa June 6, 2012)

Harvey, Wallace Arden, 82, of Corydon, Iowa, died on Thursday, May 24, 2012 following a four-wheeler accident on his rural Cambria farm. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, may 30, 2012 at Randolph funeral Home in Corydon, Iowa, with pastor Jeff Hontz and pastor Clegguart Mitchell officiating. Interment was held in the Corydon Cemetery, Corydon, Iowa.

Memorials may be made to Freedom Bible Camp.

WALLACE ARDEN HARVEY ... Wallace Arden Harvey, fourth child of Wade Chester and Welthie Beatrice [Pearson] Harvey, was born May 11, 1930, at the family farm hear Harvey, IA. He went to be with his Savior on May 24, 2012, following a four-wheeler accident on his rural Cambria farm at the age of 82.

Wallace graduated from the Fairfield High School in 1949. On December 30, 1950, he was united in marriage to Minnette Joan Cline at Round Prairie Baptist Church in Lockridge, IA. They continued their education at Baptist Bible Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX, and graduated from the Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO in 1952.

To this union four children were born: Curtis, Wanette, Lyle, and Deleta. The family farmed all their lives in Jefferson and Wayne Counties. Wallace worked at John Deere in Ottumwa, road construction, over the road truck driving, and carpentry. He was a member of Corydon Bible Church, Freedom bible Camp, and farm bureau.

Following the death of Minnette in April 2003, Wallace married Maxine Isabell Parsons on March 19, 2006. They enjoyed taking their motor home to Texas and to winter and volunteer at the Rio Grande Bible Institute and Bibleville.

Grandpa greatly loved spoiling and teasing his 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He always had a pocket full of M&Ms and tootsie rolls to share.

Left to cherish his memory are: his wife, Maxine; children, Curtis (Kathy) Harvey of Corydon, Wanette (Calvin) Palmer of Corydon, Lyle (Karmen) Harvey of fairfield, Deleta (Paul) Alexander of Promise City; grandchildren and great-grand children, Angela (Luke) and Isabella Rich of Chariton, Stephen (Sarah) Harvey of Chariton, Elizabeth (Tyson) Cody and Emily Polsdofer of Allerton, David (Sarah) and Abigail Palmer of Corydon, Justin (Destiny) Clayton and Colton Harvey of Hedrick, Alicia Harvey of Warner Robins, GA, Johathan (Lacy) Seth, Noah, Emma, Bryn, and Anna Alexander of Corydon, Benjamin (Shelby) Alexander of Shady Dale, GA, Benjamin (Shelby) Alexander of Shady Dale, GA, Rebecca Alexander of Winona Lake, IN, Deborah and Timothy Alexander of Promise City; brother Wendell (Delores) Harvey of Monrovia, CA; sister Winifred Larson of Fullerton, CA; sister-in-law Earnestine Harvey of Salem; brother-in-law John (Helen) Troutman of Hartville, MO; Maxine's children: Jack (Judy) Parsons of Leon, Jerry (Tracey) Parsons of Leon, Ruth Ann (Ed) Signs of Des Moines, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Welthie; brothers, Willard, Wesley, Wilbur, Wayne and Walter; sister Willadene Troutman; brother-in-law Clair Larson; granddaughter Sarah palmer.
