MRS. LOUISA ELLEN WILLIS, 77 years old, died Friday night at her home near Skidmore. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday at the Skidmore Christian Church. The Rev. Mrs. Ralph Waldo Emerson will officiate. She is survived by a son, Arthur Willis, Skidmore, one daughter, Mrs. W. F. Day, Quitman, Mo.; Sisters, Mrs. Robert Delong, Davis City, Iowa; Mrs. Jess Osborn, Council Bluffs, Iowa, Mrs. Ulna Mossburg, Cainsville, Mo., Mrs. Irvin Willis, Davis City, Iowa. One brother, Charles Hamilton, Cainsville, Mo.

MRS. LOUISA ELLEN WILLIS ... Mrs. Louisa Ellen Willis, widow of the late I. A. Willis, died Saturday, April 8, at the home of her son, Arthur Willis. She had been a semi-invalid for many years. During the past several Weeks of serious illness she was devotedly cared for by her daughter-in-law and her daughter, Mrs. Day. In spite of her physical handicaps, Mrs. Willis was always cheerful and appreciative of the favors and services of others.

The funeral was held at the Skidmore Christian Church Monday afternoon at two o'clock, in charge of Mrs. R. W. Emerson, Minister. Dr. Arnold Walker and Mrs. H. P. Botkin, sang "Pass Me Not Oh Gentle Savior" and "Going Down the Valley."

Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Louisa Ellen Hamilton, daughter of P. J. and Mary Ellen Quick Hamilton, was born September 21, 1871 at Davis City, Iowa, and passed away April 8, 1949 at Skidmore, Mo., at the age of 77.

She was united in marriage to Isaac A. Willis, October 16, 1887 at Pleasanton, Iowa. Mr. Willis preceded her in death two years ago.

She is survived by two children, Mrs. Edna Day and Arthur Willis; six grandchildren, Elmer Day, Theodore Willis, Louie Irwin, Dale Willis, Berdena Day and Doyt Willis; three step-grandchildren, Rollie Day, Mamie Sherrill and Henry Day; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Charlie Hamilton; and four sisters, Mrs. Irvin Willis, Mrs Robert DeLong, Mrs. Osburn, and Mrs. Ulna Mossburger.

Mrs. Willis had been a member of the Christian Church since sixteen years of age.

Card of Thanks ... We want to thank our friends and neighbors for the flowers, for their help and for the many other expressions of kindness and sympathy during the illness and at the death of our dear mother.
