“Funeral Service For Fred Wallace”

“Frederick Eugene Wallace, 91, died Wednesday September 24, at West View Acres in Leon. Services were held Saturday, September 27, from the Methodist Church in Weldon with the Rev. James Seibert of Murray conducting the 1:30 p.m. funeral. Interment was in the Hebron Cemetery in Clarke County.

Frederick Eugene Wallace was born October 11, 1877, in Weldon, Iowa, son of John M. Wallace and Priscilla Westfall Wallace. He attended schools in Clarke County prior to his marriage to Flora Belle Landis in Osceola on July 24, 1907. One child was born to this union.
He spent his life in Clarke County where he farmed. He was a member of the Weldon Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Belle of Weldon; son, Marvin and wife, Betty of Weldon, two grandsons, Frederick Clyde and Robert Edgar of Weldon, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters and four brothers.

Webster Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.”
