Adelbert Wesley Keeler was born on August 4, 1869 in Shelbyville, Shelby county, Illinois and passed from this life on 23 Oct 1955 in Clark County. Keeler came to Leon Iowa with his parents and family on the first passenger train that pulled into Leon in 1873. He attended the Decatur county schools. He farmed near Weldon. On March 16, 1909 in Weldon, Iowa, Bert West married Della May Hall. To this union were born three children: Maurice Hall, Willard Wayne, and Lois Ann Keeler. Bert West Keeler will be laid to rest in the Green Bay Cemetery, in Clark County, Iowa. (Obituary found in family records.)
