DEATH NOTICE:

HARMON, Glen Evans "Jack," 81, of Raytown, Missouri, died on Monday, August 22, 2011. Funeral services with a mass were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 26, 2011, at St. John Francis Regis Church in Kansas City, Missouri. Graveside services were held at 3:00 p.m. at the Leon Cemetery, in Leon, Iowa. Arrangements were through Missouri Funeral Care, 816-353-1700.

GLEN EVANS "JACK" HARMON ... Jack Harmon, 82, of Raytown MO, died on August 22, 2011. Visitation was held at St. John Francis Regis Church, Kansas City, Missouri at 10:00 a.m. on August 26, and followed by a mass at 11:00 a.m. Grave side service was held at 3:00 p.m. at the Leon Cemetery, Leon, Iowa.

Jack was born December 18, 1929, near Sullivan in Moultrie County, Illinois. He was the youngest of Dewey Frank and Elsie Belva Kirk Harmon, both of whom predeceased him.

Jack earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Bradley University and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. His successful career as an executive in direct sells allowed him to call many cities his home and was capped by his election to the board of Directors of the Direct Selling Association in Washington, D.C.

Jack was married 35 years to Alice Marie Akes Harmon, who passed away in 2009. He is survived by his brother William K. Harmon and his brother's wife Eleanor, children and the grandchildren of Elaine and William Harmon.
