DEATH NOTICE:

(The Leon Journal-Reporter Leon, Iowa July 27, 2011)

LANDRUM, Bonnie, 79, of Garden Grove, Iowa, died on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2011, at the Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa. Burial will be in the Garden Grove Cemetery.

LANDRUM, Lenna Bonnie, 79, formerly of Garden Grove, died on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at the Lamoni Nursing and Rehab Center in Lamoni, Iowa. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2011, at the Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa. Burial was in the Garden Grove Cemetery in Garden Grove, Iowa.

LENNA BONNIE LANDRUM ... Lenna Bonnie Landrum, age 79, formerly of Garden Grove, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence Ormond and Lenna Florence [McCleary] Landrum, was born July 7, 1932 in Decatur County, Iowa. She died at the Lamoni Nursing and Rehab Center in Lamoni, Iowa on Wednesday, July 20, 2011.

Bonnie attended Garden Grove School and then continued to live with her parents. After her mother died, Bonnie did all the housework, laundry, and meals for her dad and brother, Donnie, and for herself. After her dad's death in 1993, Bonnie and Donnie moved to the Bob and Barbara Stout Home in Davis City, Iowa. She enjoyed helping out in the kitchen and with the laundry. She also liked to watch the Lawrence Welk show on TV. She enjoyed attending church with Barb when she was able.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother Don on September 25, 2001; and cousin Russ Homes and wife Nadine.

Survivors are cousins and their families including Kenneth and Marjorie Nurnberg of Arispe, Iowa; friends. Jerry and Linda Arnold of Garden Grove and Bob and Barb Stout of Davis City; and other relatives and friends.
