DEATH NOTICE:

SHEPHERD, Betty J., 71, of Delaware, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 1, 2006. Funeral Services were held August 7 at Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa with Pastor Jud Stover officiating. Burial was in the Leon Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.

BETTY SHEPHERD ... Betty J. Shepherd, age 71, of Delaware, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 1, 2006. She was born October 2, 1934 in Des Moines, Iowa to Ezra an Lola Kennedy Pender. She was retired employee of Ashland Chemical. She had been a resident of Delaware County, Ohio since 1974.

She is survived by two sons and three daughters-in-law, Doug and Diana, Mark and Tammi, and Debbi Shepherd, all of Delaware, Ohio; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marilyn Pieart of Des Moines and Arlene Campbell of San Mateo, California. She was preceded in death by her husband Holland In 2003.
