DEATH NOTICE:

WALLACE, JAMES ALLEN, 71, of Dover, Oklahoma, died on Thursday, April 21, 2011, in Enid, Oklahoma. following cremation, a family service will be held later. Arrangements are through Schaeffer Mortuary, Caldwell, Kansas.

JAMES ALLEN WALLACE ... James Allen Wallace of Dover, Oklahoma was born on October 11, 1939 to Raymond Allen and Lorena Tucker Wallace. He died on April 21, 2011.

Jim lived in Burlingame, Kansas as a child and later graduated from high school in Murray, Iowa.

Jim enlisted in the United States Navy, submarine division. After his service he attended Creston Community College and there he met Joy Madonna Osborn. They were married on January 14, 1962. Two daughters were born: Jody Dee and Tanny Jo.

Jim worked as a carpenter / mason, delivered propane for Union Gas, farmed, worked through ISU extension and taught at the truck driving academy. He loved fishing, especially at The Lake of the Woods in Canada. He enjoyed woodworking.

Jim continuously tried to learn new things. Gardening was another love of his that he did until the last week of his life.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his daughter Jody Binning and husband Brad of Grand River, Iowa; Daughter Tammy Stevenson of Caldwell, Kansas; Grandchildren Cassie and Blake Binning of Grand River, Trent and wife Dawn Stevenson and Trevor Stevenson and Ashley of Caldwell; 3 great grandchildren, Payten, Tim (Bob), Addy Stevenson; Sister Laurel Adair and husband Jim of Yuma, Arizona; Nieces, Elizabeth Adair of Mission, Kansas And Jennifer Vance and husband Daniel of Yuma.
