OBITUARY - ROY PARSONS

Roy PARSONS, son of John C[urtis] and [Sarah E.] Lyda (HOLLAND) PARSONS, was
born December 14, 1908, in Garden Grove, Iowa. He was the youngest of ten
children. Roy was living at Westview Acres in Leon, Iowa, and passed away
August 10, 2000, at the Decatur County Hospital in Leon, at the age of 91
years. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Leon.

Roy was married to Goldie [Ardite ACTON] TROWBRIDGE at the Leon Care Center
in September, 1992. Roy enjoyed fishing and being with family and friends.
Roy was a friendly man who liked talking with the many people he knew. In
earlier years, he lived at the Decatur County Farm and helped chore.

Preceeding Roy in death were his parents; six sisters: Etta, Verna EASTER,
Mary SHAW Leila BLANCHARD, Ora HILL, and Ollie MARTIN; and three brothers:
Oscar, Lee, and Tom.

Surviving are his wife Goldie of Westview Acres; many nieces and nephews;
and friends.
