DEATH NOTICE:

KINDRED, Bessie Irene, 88, died March 30 at Westview Acres. Service was April 1 at the Slade - O'Donnell Funeral Home with Hubert Hackler officiating. Burial was in Hamilton Cemetery near Pleasanton.

BESSIE IRENE KINDRED Bessie Irene, daughter of William Andrew and Dona [Graves] Kindred, was born September 16, 1902, in Saline, Mo. and died March 30, 1991 at Westview Acres in Leon, Iowa, age 88.

Bess grew up and lived most of her life in Pleasanton, Iowa. She lived with her parents and also spent a lot of time with her grandparents. Her mother entered Westview Acres in Leon and Bess joined her in May 1975. She decorated her room with pictures on the wall and had stuffed animals.

She attended church service in the nursing home and went to the Leon Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sister Mae Booth and an infant brother W. A. Kindred.

Survivors include two brothers: Charles "Buck" Kindred and wife Jennie, Des Moines, and Paul "Buckles" Kindred of Westview; nieces, nephews, and her friends.
