_____ Heartfelt Wish _____
My heart is so heavy,
my feelings you'll never
know,
as it was your time to go.
Not one for endearments.
I thought we had the time
to express our love, yours
and mine.
Now through my tears.
I try to explain,
to take away your
children's sorrow and pain.
"Daddy is still here I say.
"He's with you all the
time."
"Just talk to him he'll
listen and try to answer
you some way."
I'll be here to protect
them,
though my pain is new and
raw.
I'll never be able to fill your
shoes,
to them I'll just be Pappa.
So it is my heartfelt wish,
that somehow these things
you know.
I loved you very dearly,
even though it didn't show.
So now I will go on,
till it is my day.
Then you can come to
meet me
and held guide my way.
..... Dad
