WAGNER, Nora, 87, of Boone, Iowa, formerly of Leon, Iowa, died April 1, 2006 at Evangelical Free Church Home in Boone. Funeral services were held April 4 at Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home in Leon with Pastor Jud Stover officiating. Burial was in the High Point Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa, Boone Office.

NORA WAGNER ... Nora Wagner, age 87 of Boone, Iowa, formerly of Leon, was born August 1, 1918, at Lamar, Missouri, the daughter of George and Rosella [Garrison] McClaskey. She died April 1, 2006, at Evangelical Free Church Home in Boone.

Nora attended schools in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri. She was married to Edward F. Wagner on October 31, 1935, in Trenton, Missouri. Nora and Edward made their home in various states while Edward worked on the railroad. They farmed for many years in various towns in Iowa before retiring on an acreage at High Point, near Leon, Iowa.

Nora was baptized in the Lutheran Church. Nora enjoyed just being outside, growing flowers and gardening. She liked to do crafts later in life, reading, and crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, on July 24, 1976; son Gary Wagner on December 15, 1962; and brothers George William III and John Oren McClaskey.

Nora is survived by her son, Louis E. Wagner and his wife Karen Wagner of Boone, Iowa; four grandchildren: Chad, Chris, Terri, and Gary; five great grandchildren: Whitney, Mackenzie, Erica, Luke, and Kristen; and other relatives and friends.
