IMHOFF, Lawrence Waldo, 63, of Claremore, Oklahoma, died on June 1, 2010 at the Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Funeral Services were held at the Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010, with Andy Boyce officiating. Burial was in the Leon Cemetery, Leon, Iowa.

LAWRENCE WALDO IMHOFF ... Lawrence Waldo Imhoff, age 63, of Claremore, Oklahoma, the son of Charles Lawrence and Erma May [Horney] Imhoff, was born August 21, 1946 at Osceola, Iowa. He died at the Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, June 1, 2010.

Lawrence grew up on a farm in Decatur County, Iowa. He graduated fro Mormon Trail High School in 1964. He attended York College in 1965. In 1966 he married Phyllis Bickford. They were blessed with three sons, Matthew, Mark, and Merle. After Lawrence graduated from the Bear Valley School of Preaching in Denver, Colorado he returned to southern Iowa where he preached the word of God, which eventually took him to numerous areas of the Midwest preaching in Churches of Christ; later in life Lawrence renewed his interest and talents in carpentry. In 1988 the family moved to the Tulsa, Oklahoma metro area.

On April 9, 1993, Lawrence married Linda Sue Murdock. Over the years, he maintained a constant desire to continue his education, strengthen his relationship with god, and challenge those around him to increase their Bible knowledge. For the past 18 years, Lawrence has battled four types of lymphoma and two types of skin cancer. Through it all he has remained faithful, being a Godly example to all who knew him.

Preceding him in death were his parents and infant brother, Laurel.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Imhoff of Claremore, Oklahoma; sons, Matthew Imhoff and wife Pam, Mark Imhoff and wife Annette, and Merle Imhoff and wife Kay, all of Tulsa area; three grandchildren, Mattie, Ethan, and Danielle Imhoff; step grandchildren, John Burra, Trisha McCarthy, and Madelynne McCarthy; step great grandchildren, Dalton Burra and Harley McCarthy; sisters, Leola Boyce and husband Jim of Osceola, Iowa and Linda Miller and husband Phil of Indianola, Iowa; aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends; and Phyllis Russell, the mother of his three sons.
