CLYDE AUSTIN BOOTH, 80, died Saturday October 3, 1987 at Westview Acres Care Center in Leon, Iowa.

Mr. Booth was born April 23, 1907 at Modena, son of Ulysses Grant Booth and Mary Ellen Holloway. He was united in marriage to Hazel Ilene McBee September 5, 1928 Leon, Iowa. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Cainsville. He was an infantry vet of WWII. He spent the rest of his life in Harrison and Mercer Counties working as a farm laborer. He was an avid outdoors man and spent much of his time hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel, of Ridgeway; four sons, Steve and Gary Ridgeway, Bill, Maryville, and Jack of Blue Springs; six daughters, Melba Stallsworth, Overland Park Kan., Peggy Anderson, Shawnee Mission, Kan., Eva Williams, Ridgeway, Patty Wood, Iva Polley and Lou Jennings, all of Bethany; 29 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Clyde Austin Jr. August 6, 1979; three brothers, Emmett Leroy, Howard Romain, and Walter Raymond; five sisters, Iva Estes Chamberlain, Bonnie Helen Oswalt, Myrtle Marie Delong, Dorothy Pauline Payne, and Nora Adel who died in infancy.

Funeral services were held Sunday October 4, 4p.m. at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Princeton, Missouri with the Rev. Norris Ramsey officiating. Burial was in Cain Cemetery Cainsville, Missouri.
