SERVICES FOR OSCAR HAYES ... Funeral services for Oscar Hayes, 60, of Mercer, who died at his home Wednesday, of last week, were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist Church at Lineville and were conducted by the Rev. Roy Donelson and the Rev. Gene Reasnor. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. Hayes, a son of John and Eliza Hayes, was born near Pleasanton, Ia., Oct. 15, 1987. He was married Dec. 8, 1916 to Ione Ewing, who died Feb. 9, 1933. He was married March 15, 1939, to Mrs. Eva Jobe, who survives.

In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Jolene, of the home; a son, Earl Hayes, of Lineville; his mother, three sisters, Mrs. Mary Brown, Fairfield, Mont.; Mrs. Alta Snyder, Mercer, many Mrs. LaVada Neal, Lineville; two stepsons, Carroll Jobe and Elvin Jobe, Des Moines.
