BENNIE HAGAN OF PLEASANTON DIES ... Bennie O. Hagan, 80, of Pleasanton, Ia., former Mercer County resident, died Nov. 7 at Decatur County Hospital, Leon, Ia. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Nov. 10, at the Freedom Church. The Rev. Norris Ramsey and the Rev. Millard Bales officiated. Burial was in the Hamilton Cemetery near Pleasanton.

Mr. Hagan, a son of Thomas and Dollie Hagan, was born in Harrison County June 27, 1883. He was married in 1903 to Edith E. Graham, who died Feb. 18, 1963. Mr. Hagan spent most of his life in the Freedom Community. He was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Hagan celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1953.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Vera Piper of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Mrs Helen Hill of Pleasanton and Mrs. Deloris Standerwick of Chicago, Ill; two sons, Orvel Hagan of Chicago; Roscoe Hagan of Corydon, Ia.; one brother, Harve Hagan of Cainsville; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
