CLAYPOOL, Florence Luella, 95, of Osceola, Iowa,died July 22, 2006 at the Osceola Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral services were held at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola on July 28 with Rev. Lyle Mankey officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Kale Funeral Home of Osceola.

FLORENCE LUELLA CLAYPOOL ... Florence Luella Claypool, daughter of Curtis Boylan and Estela VanPatter Boylan was born December 17, 1910 in Hardin County, Iowa near Eldora. She passed from this life July 22, 2006 at the Osceola Nursing and Rehab Center at ninety five years of age.

Florence received her early education in the rural schools of Hardin County and Clarke County. She was united in marriage to Albert (Mike) Claypool on December 17, 1928 in Indianola, Iowa.

Florence spent most of her life in Clarke and Decatur Counties except from 1972-1982 in Osage Beach, Missouri. She had been employed at Snowdon's and J.C. Penney in Osceola and had also worked as a cook at Clarke Community Schools, retiring in 1972.

A former member of the Red Hat Club and the Y.M. Club, Florence also was a member of the Church of Christ in Murray and had attended the First Baptist Church in Osceola. She also enjoyed playing cards and really appreciated the company of her dear friend, Dorotha Foland.

Relatives who preceded her in death include her parents; husband Albert; sisters, Evelyn Neidt and Vera Ashman; sister-in-law, Margie Boylan; brothers-in-law, Bert Ashman and Kint Hukill; and her granddaughter, Shirley Jones.

She leaves to cherish her memory, son, Kenneth Claypool of San Diego, Ca; daughter, Avis Collins and her husband Harland of Weldon; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 20 great, great grandchild as well as many other relatives and a host of friends.
