GARDEN GROVE IA: Lola Vee Daufeldt, daughter of Voy and Mae [Willis] Dykes, was born near Mercer, Missouri May 15, 1929 and passed away June 20, 1993, at the Leon Care Center Leon, Iowa at the age of 64 years. Lola was united in marriage to Harry Albert Fawcett, who preceded her in death in 1982. Lola later married Elmer Daufeldt, who preceded her in death June 19, 1991. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Lola is survived by her son, Randy Fawcett, of Tuttle, Oklahoma; her daughter, Cindy Fawcett of Soquel, California: her two brothers, Raymond Dykes, of Le Claire, Iowa and Lester Dykes, of Cainsville, Missouri; her sister Vivian Ball of Pershing, Iowa; and by her two grandsons, Joshua and Christopher Fawcett of Tuttle, Oklahoma.

Lola lived most of her adult life in the Davenport, Iowa area. She was employed by the Eagle Signal Electronics Company of Davenport for 28 years. The company manufactured electrical equipment for the NASA space program. Lola received several awards at Eagle Signal for her work in the space program. She returned home to Mercer in the early 1980's and in 1986 moved to a farm near Garden Grove, Iowa where she lived until moving to the Leon Care Center in October 1991.

Open visitation and viewing will be from 8:00 am until 9:55 am Wednesday, June 23 at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Home in Lineville, Ia. Graveside services will be Wednesday June 23, 1993 at 10:00 am at the Evergreen Cemetery Lineville, Iowa with the Rev. Max Carmichael officiating, under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service of Lineville.
