LYLE RICHARD HILL Lyle Richard Hill, oldest son of Dale Richard and Rosalie Morris Hill, was born August 31, 1960 at Leon, Iowa and passed away at his grandparents' farm September 16, 1979 at the age of 19 years and 16 days.

He accepted Christ as his Savior and became a member of New Salem Baptist Church June 1968.

He was a three year letterman in Football and wrestling. He also was a member of the Iowa High School Rodeo Association, Iowa Rodeo Cowboys Association, 4-H and FFA. He graduated from Central Decatur Community School May 21, 1978. He was attending Lincoln Technical Institute and working for Horner Waldorf Box Company in Des Moines at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ralph Leland Morris; great grandfather, Ross G. Dale; and great grandmother, Lena B. Coontz.

He is survived by fiancee, Tammie Lynn Ehlers; his parents; brother Steven Ross; sister Patricia Marie; grandparents: Ivan and Pauline Hill; Arline and Kenneth Mitchell; great grandmother Margaret Dale; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephew; and a host of friends.

Funeral Service was held at the Slade Funeral Home, Leon, Iowa on September 19, 1979 with the Reverand's Norris Ramsey and Kent Stockham officiating. Burial was in the New Salem Cemetery near Pleasanton, Iowa.
