RACHEAL MERLE HAMILTON ... Rachael Merle Hamilton, daughter of Alexander and Mildred Wright Dennis, was born in Harrison County, Mo. December 20, 1903, and departed this life at her home January 5, 1988, at the age of 84 years and 16 days. Merle is the last member of her family.

On December 23, 1922 she was united in marriage to Garland Rex Hamilton. To this union three children were born: Lewis Hamilton of Davis City, Iowa, Nadine Hockridge of Gilman City, Mo. and Fayne Hamilton who is deceased.

Merle was a member of the Mt. Moriah Methodist Church. When she and Rex moved to Ridgeway, she placed her membership with the Ridgeway United Methodist Church. Merle moved to Bethany in 1982. She was a loving wife and mother to her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex in 1976, one son, Fayne, her mother, father, two brothers, Dorrel and Zenith Dennis, and one sister, Fern Emry.

She is survived by one son, Lewis Hamilton, a daughter, Nadine Hockridge, two daughters-in-law, Evelyn Hamilton and Ruth Hamilton, one son-in-law, Bernard Hockridge, one sister-in-law, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, all of whom she dearly loved.
