CLARK, Theodora "Teddy" Lee Scadden, 76, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Mines, Iowa. Funeral services were held April 8 at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Iowa with Pastor Eddie West of Weldon officiating. Burial was in the Van Wert Cemetery, Van Wert, Iowa.

THEODORA "TEDDY" LEE SCADDEN CLARK ... Theodora "Teddy" Lee Scadden Clark, daughter of Wayne Otis Fisher and Frnacis Genevieve [Stump] Fisher was born November 21, 1933 in Washington County, Iowa. She passed from this life Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, Iowa at 76 years of age.

Theodora grew up in Washington County, Iowa; she graduated fro Kalona High School where she was valedictorian. She lived in Iowa City while attending Mercy Hospital Nursing Program and received her LPN degree. Her first daughter, Debbie was born during this time. They moved to Marshalltown and Theodora worked at the Marshalltown Hospital. Theodora met Paul Eldon Scadden and they were married Nov. 3, 1962 and four children blessed this union, Becky, Ron, Sandy, and Paula. In 1965 they moved to Van Wert where they farmed and raised their family. Theodora worked at the Decatur County Hospital in Leon from 1965-1966. For the next 15 years Theodora spent time focusing on raising her children and working on the farm, where they raised cattle, chickens, goats, and a pony. She always enjoyed working outside and spending time with the animals, passing on to all her children the loved of animals. In 1980, her husband Paul passed away and she then returned to work as an LPN at the Leisure Manor in Osceola. On November 12, 1987 she married Earl Clark of Van Wert, Iowa. She continued to work there until she retired in 1997.

Theodora enjoyed many things in life. She enjoyed taking care of and spending time with the elderly population. She often became very attached to her patients. Theodora always had great passion in any work she did, whether it was at home milking cows or pulling baby calves or helping her patients as a LPN. When Teodora wasn't working she enjoyed the simple things in life around the farm. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening, and crossword puzzles. Most of all, Theodora enjoyed enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and reading.

She leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Debbie Gamroth and husband David of Sun River, OR; daughter, Becky Van Dyke and husband Mike of Osceola; son, Ron Scadden and wife Cristy of Osceola; daughter Sandy Scadden of Van Wert; daughter Paula Selsor and husband Shane of Weldon; sister, Ellen Yerkes of Arizona; sister Donna Lane of Iowa City; 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
