MATLAGE, Tanner Roe, 17, of Murray, Iowa, died November 3, 2007 in rural Clarke County, Iowa. Funeral Services were held at the Murray Community School November 10 with Pastor Brian McCracken officiating. Burial was in Murray Cemetery. Arrangements were through Kale Funeral home of Osceola.

TANNER ROE MATLAGE ... Tanner Roe Matlage, son of Mark Allen Matlage and Michele Marie Miller Matlage was born in November 20, 1991 in Des Moines, Iowa and passed from this life Saturday, November 3, 2007 in rural Clarke County, Iowa at 15 years of age.

Tanner received his education in the Murray community Schools where he was currently a sophomore. Tanner was a member of the Murray FFA; FCCLA; Murray Church of Christ Youth Group; Murray High School Football Team; and the Silver Cord Program.

Tanner was a guy who was full of life, who was on the go and willing to help anyone. There were never many dull moments when Tanner was around! He loved to work on the farm, ride his four wheeler and was a HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan. He enjoyed hunting with his dad and brother and passionately loved watching TV. Tanner also loved going to the Iowa State Fair and participating in the cow chip throw. Tanner died absolutely doing what he loved, farming, driving a 4-wheeler and herding cows.

Tanner was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Frank and Minnie Matlage; Homer and Arlene Lockard; Percy and Edna Miller.

He leaves to cherish his memory; parents, Mark and Michele Matlage of Murray; brother, Michael Matlage of Murray; sister, Dakota Matlage of Murray; grandparents, Bernie and Sheri Miller of Murray; grandparents, Donna and Paul Percell of Lamoni; grandfather; Frank Matlage of Murray and friend Judy Adams of Pella, Iowa; great grandparents, Darrell and Betty DeLong of Osceola; aunt, Tonya and Damon Dustin of Murray; uncle, Mike and Barb Matlage of Shellrock; aunt, Cindy Matlage of Waverly; aunt, Sue and Craig Peters of Glenwood; cousins, Scarlett and Grayson Dustin of Murray and Brandon and Raelynn Matlage of Waverly; as well as many great aunts and uncles; special friend, Larry Loy of Murray as well as other relatives and a host of friends.
