DEATH NOTICE:

VANDEL, Sharon Kay, 42, of Osceola, Iowa, died February 6, 2010 in an auto accident near Columbus Junction, Iowa. Funeral services were held February 12, at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. Cremation followed the service.

SHARON VANDEL ... Sharon Kay Vandel "Black Wida:, was born May 3, 1967 in Iowa City, Iowa. She passed from this life February 6, 2010 in an auto accident near Columbus Junction, Iowa. She was 42 years of age.

Sharon grew up in Warren County, attending Southeast Warren Schools; she graduated from Indianola High School. She was united in marriage to "Junior" Vandel on November 9, 1985 in Mercer, Missouri and three children have blessed this union, Josh, Nikki and Ashley.

Sharon was a very fun loving person. Her family was the center of her life. She was always there for family and friends. She enjoyed rides on the bike, vacations or day trips. She always looked forward to garage sales, auctions and the trips to Wal mart. She loved to laugh and have fun.

Sharon was preceded in death by her Dad, Gary Johnson; Grandpa, Robert Johnson; Grandma & Grandpa Benge; Great Grandma Hill; Big Grandpa Nutting and Grandma Nutting; Uncle Bobby Johsnon; Niece, Jessica Hosley.

She leaves to cherish her memory, husband "Junior"; son Josh Vandel; daughters, Nikkie and Ashley; Mom Alice Nutting & "Father" Henry Nutting of Milo; Grandmother, Evelyn Johnson of Osceola; granddaughters, Sharlynn and Shaylen; grandson, Emmitt all of Conesville; sisters, Susan Lowers (Mike) of Leon, Teresa Alley (Rick) of Idaho; Gary Canaday Johnson (Lisa) of Idaho; Michelle Sahou (George) of Massachusetts; Melissa Woodward (Chuck) of Norway; brothers, James Nutting (Lorena) of Texas; Rick Nutting of Milo; Robert Nutting (Cindy) of Ackworth; Dave Nutting (Jenny) of Des Moines; other relatives and many many friends who were just like family.
