DEATH NOTICE:

(The Leon Journal-Reporter Leon, Iowa February 3, 2010)

LOVETT, Richard Lee, 71, formerly of Leon, Iowa, died January 22, 2010. Services were held January 26 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeils's Mustang Funeral Service with burial in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Wheatland, Oklahoma.

RICHARD LEE LOVETT ... Richard Lee Lovett, age 71, son of Frances Rex and Maurice D. Lovett was born in Leon, Iowa on December 10, 1938 and passed away on January 22, 2010.

He graduated from Leon High School in 1958. Richard started his career as an automobile mechanic while he was in high school and then became a diesel mechanic working on construction in Louisiana, Kansas, New Mexico finally settling in Oklahoma City in 1975.

He loved raising and training his roosters and horses. He could never pass up an estate sale (or any other sale), and had a passion for sports, especially OU Football. He believed in living life to the fullest and enjoyed and loved being with his family.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Marie Frances; son, Jerry and brother in law Richard L. Bryant.

He is survived by his wife Gail, three daughters Angela Mirick and husband James of Yukon, OK, Gina Love of Oklahoma City, OK, Elizabeh Barber and husband Chuck of Mustang, OK and one stepson Davy Eatmon and wife Kelli of Mustang, OK. Eight grandchildren; Kendra Ramsey and husband Justin, Chris and Brooke Love, Braeden and Nathen Barber and Hunter, Gracie and Mackenzie Eatmon; one great granddaughter Paisley Jaymes; two sisters, Dixie Bryant and Kay Lovett both of Oklahoma City, OK and numerous other family members and many friends. Richard was much loved by his family and many friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
