Decatur County Journal
Leon, Iowa
Thursday, October 9, 1913

WM. BIGGS returned Tuesday noon from Macon, Ill., where he had gone to
attend the funeral of his sister, Mrs. W.P. DAVIDSON. Mrs. DAVIDSON's
brother, JAMES BIGGS, of Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. DAVIDSON, of Ohio, Mrs. DRUMMOND
of Trenton, Mo., a niece of the deceased, a son from Hagerstown, Maryland,
and four women who had lived with and worked for the Mr. and Mrs. DAVIDSON,
attended the funeral services. One of them now resides in Salt Lake City,
Utah, one in Minneapolis, Minn., one in Decatur, Ill., and one in Colorado.
All of them felt as though they had lost one almost as dear as a mother.

The funeral services were conducted by the pastor of the Presbyterian Church
the funeral being held at that church. The remains were buried in the
Macon Cemetery, the Eastern Stars performing their beautiful ceremony. A
large number were in attendance. We left all that was mortal to rest until
the resurrection morn to be raised immortal where death and pain and parting
are no more.
