JAMES THOMAS GRAVATT was born August 24th, 1862, near Davis City, Iowa;
passed out of this life June 29th, 1913. He was married to Miss IDA
STEPHENS, of Decatur, Iowa, Oct. 28, 1895. To this union were born four
children, one son and three daughters -- STEPHEN, MARY ELLEN, LAURA and
OLLIE. STEPHEN preceded his father at the age of six years. He also leaves
to mourn their loss one brother, CHARLES, two sisters, Mrs. VINA STEPHENS,
of Decatur, and MARY GRAVATT, of Chariton, also one half-brother, JOHN FITCH
of Davis City, Iowa, and two half-sisters, Mrs. ELIZABETH SHOEMAKER, of
Kansas, and Mrs. JULIA BAKER, of Leon, Iowa, besides a host of friends and
relatives.
