Leon, Iowa

Little MILDRED, the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.L. FRAZIER, of Davis
City, was born in that city on August 3, 1911, and passed from this life to
the Heavenly Father at about fifteen minutes after one o'clock on Sunday
morning, March 23, 1913, aged 1 year, 7 months and 20 days.

The immediate cause of death was what is termed emphysemia, a breaking down
of the air cells of the lungs, a very rare and invariably fatal malady. The
little sufferer had been ailing for several weeks previous to her death from
various ailments common to children and not until the first named disease
set in was her condition termed serious. The little one is survived by her
parents, a little sister, MARJORIE, and a little brother, LAWRENCE. Beside
these there mourn her death a large circle of relatives and friends of the
family innumerable. In the case of the little one, medical aid could be of
no avail. All that could be done to alleviate and cure the sufferings of
little MILDRED was done every moment during her illness she had all the
laving care that affection could bestow and yet it pleased God to gather
little MILDRED to Himself. "The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away,
blessed be the name of the Lord."

The funeral services were held from the M.E. Church on Monday afternoon of
this week, the pastor, Rev. E.A. Plate, officiating. The floral tributes of
love and sympathy were many and beautiful. The little form was laid away to
rest in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
