MICHAEL, James David (J.D.), 63, of Kansas City, Missouri, formerly of Leon, Iowa, died March 3, 2006 (9) at the VA Hospital in Kansas City.

JAMES DAVID (J.D.) MICHAEL ... Michael, James David (J.D.), 63 of Kansas City, MO died of an aneurism, March 3, 2009 at the VA Hospital in Kansas City.

JD served in the Air Force in Vietnam. He was united in marriage to Sharon Ellen Chambers on August 1, 1970. They moved to Kansas City in 1971 and that has been there home since then.

JD attended college and US Trade School and numerous other schoolings. He was a fabricator. His passion was building and designing race cars. He was a craftsman & metal artist. He loved building things that were a challenge. One of his favorite sayings was "Funny cars, Movie stars & Honky tonk Bars:. He was very outspoken and called things as they were.

He was proceeded in death by his father, James E. Michael & mother, Patricia Mae Michael.

J. D. is survived by his wife, Sharon of Kansas City, MO; Aunt Dee Iltis-Downing of Des Moines, IA; Uncle Pete Iltis and wife Jean, Florida; friend and partner Ron Luther, Kansas City; child they helped raise, Carrie Sandoval, Kansas City. Four beautiful grandchildren: Ray and Marrissa Salinas, Andreas and Jasmine Sandoval, all of Kansas City. Sister-in-Laws Deb and Mike Courtney, Leon, Sandra and Brad Jones, Garden Grove, Dorcia Brazelton and Larry, Des Moines; brother-in-law, Travis Spidle and Shelly, Des Moines. Parents-in-Law, Albert and Betty Spidle, Garden Grove and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He will be greatly missed.
