Marguerite grew up in the area called Booth Town and graduated from Pleasanton High School. She taught country school near Indianola before her marriage to Ardon G T Williams at the Little Brown Church on June 1,1947. They lived around Lineville for more than 80 years; Marguerite had lived in Osceola for the last 7 years.

Marguerite was a devoted wife and mother and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She was a good cook; some of her specialities were cinnamon rolls, cherry dessert, and her special pie crust. She had a big garden, canned vegetables for the winter and enjoyed making clothes for herself and her family. Having grown up in the country, Marguerite enjoyed taking rides in the country to look at the crops and animals. She always liked to get up early in the morning to get her work done. She had worked for 10 years at a nursing home in Princeton, MO. Ardon and Marguerite were very active members of the Lineville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 50 years. Even while homebound, she enjoyed listening to the meetings via the telephone from the Chariton Congregation.

Preceding Marguerite in death were her parents; husband in 1996; sisters, Anna Jean Place and Elaine McNamara; infant sister, Lois Mahoney; and her brother, Edward Mahoney Jr. who was killed in World War II.

She is survived by her four children, Ardon G T Williams, Jr. and wife Cynthia of Osceola; Sharon M.
