MADGE PAULINE KARNS, daughter of LLOYD D. and PEARL KARNS, was born April ll, l920, and died near Davis City, Iowa, January l0, l924, having reached the age of 3 years, 8 months and 29 days. She had the whooping cough and took pneumonia about l0 days before her death. She was patient and easy to care for during her sickness and when her time came, passed quietly away. A beautiful, lovable child has been called from the home, leaving to mourn her loss, the father, mother, and a little sister, HELEN MARIE. She leaves also four grandparents and one great grandfather, besides numerous other relatives.

The funeral services were conducted at the Chapel of the Church of Christ in Davis City, Saturday, January l2th at l:30 p.m. by Wm. J. Campbell. The body was laid to rest in the Leon Cemetery.
